Lots of people were saying it was a solution to a problem that didn't exist. I dunno... I think that really it may not have as much an effect as I'd like. They'll still have motorcycles giving them the splits etc. I wonder if they should just ditch chase cars all together and let the riders handle themselves like in the olden days? I wonder if pro tour riders can even change a flat themselves?

I don't think there is any problem with having chase cars, or using motorcycles to give riders the time splits. These are more minimal and intermittent types of support and information, instead of what we have now, where if there is nobody holding the hands of the riders, they all end up clueless and lost. I think that all you have to do is look back to the 70's and 80's to see that racing was more interesting without radios.

I wholeheartedly agree about radios... I'm just wondering if I think it will have as big an effect as I'm hoping it does.
