In case you missed it:

Quote
IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLEASE READ REGARDING ACTIVE POLICE EXERCISE AT NDSU

n Thursday, August 7th, NDSU University Police & Safety Office
UP&SO) will participate in a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement
exercise on the NDSU main campus in the areas of Stockbridge Hall,
Churchill Hall and SF Lot.

his exercise will involve multiple law enforcement responses
including front line police units with officers utilizing equipment
and weapons,  the Red River Regional SWAT Team utilizing their
equipment, gear and weapons as well as the Red River Regional Bomb
Squad.  This afternoon long exercise, roughly Noon - 4:30 PM, will
appear to be a live actual event, however, all safety precautions
will be taken to include utilizing unloaded weapons.  Every attempt
will be made to identify the areas involved as "training exercise"
areas only, and we ask that you be aware of this training and its location.

In a related matter, this Wednesday, August 6th, at 2:00 PM, we will
again test our CENS (Campus Emergency Notification Systems).  This
will be a test only which will be conducted on the first Wednesday
of each month at 2:00 PM, and this test will utilize the NDSU
Cable-TV EAS (Emergency Alert System), the NDSU AUDIX phone
broadcast (which will NOT light up your voice mail light and will be
self cancelled after 30 minutes), and the CAMPUS ALERT email
listserv notification to all employees and students with an active
NDSU email account.  Again, this will be only a test on Wednesday, August 6th.

However, on the morning of Thursday, August 7th, we will utilize the
NDSU CENS again to send a reminder notice of the Law Enforcement
Active Exercise.
