Radio blunder.
« on: November 24, 2006, 12:22:17 PM »
Like the handle says, I'm not  a student at UND, but the university dominates the whole town.  The local radio station plays host to the student council pres. and/or vice pres every other week - to promote university functions and agendas.  Usually the bits are kinda boring, with the DJ's trying to induce a conversation with the students reps about issues in town, the country, whatever.  Mostly harmless stuff.

Except for this past Tuesday (11/21/06).  The student council VP was on the air and asked to give he's 2-cents on an email sent to the radio station asking for advice.  The VP (don't know his name, don't care) then proceeds to do a little gay-bashing.  Professionalism at it's best.  Basically he said the any male person doing any sort of dance class/lessons was a homo. :o   Great elected representatives you have there.

Was this on KNOX? I'll have to ask someone else about it. I guess it wouldn't surprise me much.
