Also... you are correct about the philosophical standpoint. The trouble is... I feel that philosophers (modern ones at least) are all simply idea men. They sit and ponder and get no further. Theoretical physicists actually take what has some possibility of being true and try to prove it. Its more factual than ponderous I suppose.
Moreover... philosophy has many many MANY facets. I mean... one can philsophize about anything. Theoretical physicists deal with physics.
Perhaps I should take a philosophy class before I make judgments regarding what exactly encompasses philosophy.
