Sorry no stories, I always end up at home for Thanksgiving.

Where are your stories?

I'm standing here at the popcorn booth in the UND Memorial Union, and I'm listening to some people at another organization table talking about various things.  One guy was talking about how he and some friends had a "pudding party" in his hall, and how they invited everyone out into the hallway for some food and company and it turned into a good time party with some disco lights and dance music.  I have no idea whether this was around Thanksgiving or not, but it got me thinking about how this year will be another year I won't be back with the family for the big holiday meal.

I know that as a grad student far from home this is pretty normal, but there must be others (undergrades even) in school in ND who have had one or two Thanksgivings away from home.  I know that last year was pretty fun for me, but what about everyone else?  What's your favorite Thanksgiving-away-from-home memory/story?  It might be that you were in this guy's hall last year when they threw this party, or you might have been stuck overseas somewhere.  What's the story?

Happy Almost Thanksgiving!
(and come buy popcorn from me today and tomorrow!)
