just received a question asking if all the races lasted till 8:30 pm because on the facebook event, it says it starts at 2 pm and ends at 8:30, then the one on November 7th says it starts at 3 and ends at 11 pm. I said I didn't think it would go on that long.......... lol, but thought I should ask before I gave them the wrong answer??

No, they won't be that long.  For the races themselves, we're looking at 20 at least 30 minutes for beginner and 40 at least 45 minutes for advanced, plus time to stand around and calculate results, plus time to give out schwag afterward.  Of course, if people want to stick around and play polo, that's cool too.

What? 30/45 at LEAST.

Lauren... It would be safe to say that a beginner could expect a race to run about 30 minutes and someone that is not a beginner shouldn't anticipate longer than an hour.

For anyone who was asking me about funding from the city, we can't apply for that again this year.  The applications for next year events are due soon though (see the Bikecicle 2011 thread).

Phelps I'm slashing ur tires currently.

It would be pretty sweet if yost could run that. If not though, I'm sure there will be enough experience floating around at the pre race to answer questions for new dewds.
