Vibrating trainer question
« on: November 16, 2009, 08:03:44 PM »
How much should a new mag trainer vibrate?  My lady friend just got a Cycleops Mag+ and it vibrates a great deal more than I expected it to.  I threw another bicycle on it and the same thing happened, so I don't think it's the wheel being out of true.  Looking at the roller part, it looks like it wobbles back and forth as it spins, which could explain the vibration.  I can't imagine riding on it for even half an hour because the vibration is all through the frame, the pedals, and the bars.

What do you think?  Should she bring it back and see if another one works better?
JUST EXTRA POLISH. I DO SOME WORK WITH EXCELL SO I KEEP THE CAPS LOCK ON :-P

I've heard about this problem with cycleops mag. If I were that person I would call saris and request replacement.
The minimum number of bikes one should own is three.  The correct number is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned.  This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner.

take it back... its obv out of alignment. and KEEP taking them back until u get one that works flawlessly. I hate mags... if its not the discs, its the drums, if its not the drums, its the feet. ugh.
