CD: Bringing you news from across two states
by mburtonk
Campus Dakota has just initiated a new feature, the RSS Feed Index!
"RSS," if you don't know, stands for "Really Simple Syndication." What this means is that when a blog or other RSS-enabled website is updated, a new file is created that has a short summary--the RSS "feed". Programs that read RSS feeds check them on a set schedule and let you (the user) know when something new has been posted--meaning that you don't have to surf through all of the blogs you read eight times a day (although this is a great way to procrastinate).

Sal, thanks for the comment left on The University Of South Dakota's Reellife blog. I think this is an excellent idea, I do not control the blog I am just the updater, but I did pass your information on to our Online Editor. I think what you are trying to do here is an excellent idea!
Thank Again,
Kandi
p.s. I will also pass this link onto other students who run blogs that may be interested in participating.
