Bicycle Commuters
« on: November 03, 2006, 02:48:38 PM »
I ride my bicycle to school every day.  It's from downtown, which isn't very far, but it makes me feel better about having to buy gas and burn it unnecessarily.

My question is, who else is a bicycle commuter?  I realize a lot of you probably live on campus, but do any of you ride to class?  Ride to the gym?  Ride to work?  Year-round or only in the Summer?

(If you can't tell, I'm a huge cycling geek.  If anyone wants to ride with me in the spring, let me know.  Right now I'm stuck on my rollers :()

Do you know anyone in the cycling club?  I wasn't really able to get in touch with any of them.

What kind of bicycle did you have?

(I think your :notworthy: doesn't work because it is being escaped by the ~ on each side.)

I ride most places in the summer, but I still drive way too much in the winter.  I just got my bike back from a friend.  I had loaned it out because he didn't have a car.

trek 4300 (2002) I spend about as much time fixing it as I do riding it.

I thought I'd bump this thread just because.  I'm wondering about how much trouble people have with drivers.  I may not be a good indicator, but I seem to have a lot of run-ins with drivers who don't know what the rules of the road are and get pissed off at me because I'm on a bicycle.

Whaddaya think?
