That name sounds familiar, didn't know he rode with the club.

Was that the Yost rebirth, before everyone got pissed off and quit?

Nope, no picture. I have been on this board for 6+ years and have never understood how to do something as simple as post a damn picture.

I think that's Angel Trochez. He was one of the founding members during the age of the rebirth. He was an aviation kid who graduated in 2008, which would explain the post on "Jetcareers".

He's the second from the left in the picture below. At least, I hope there's a picture below. I've never posted a picture here before so I don't know if it worked.

It depends on what your pace is.  How far south are you getting at by the end of your workout?

Do you have a mountain bike?  A lot of the gravel roads shouldn't have as much truck traffic, plus the resistance would give you a better workout.

Good routes.

I was doing two workouts, one going southbound on 58 out of East Grand (one truck got after me there) and the other towards Thompson. I probably should've taken the Columbia route down and it would have been better. But I got surprised by the breadth of activity this early.

Any suggestions for doing outbound legs against wind out of the south?

For more context, my workouts:

3min. 85%,  1 min rest, x5 with 30 pushups and 30 situps at the end. Repeat 3 times with 3-4 min rest.

Then,

2 min 85%, 22 min rest, x6. Repeat twice with about 5 min rest.

Now that people are back in town: bike polo.

Saturday, Sep 14th
6 PM
University Park (look for people on bicycles)
Grasscourt.
We/I have a bunch of mallets and some balls for people to use.

New people are welcome, of course.  If no new people show up, it's hard to have a game...

Hey dude!  Where were you riding?

Off the top of my head, airport loop or northwest (minus DeMers) out-and-back are probably a lot calmer than Merrifield or Thompson.  If the wind is right you can head north on 220 out of East Grand Forks and there's a pretty good shoulder as well.

So I got honked at twice today for not going into a ditch so I could make way for their big-boy trucks. I got startled both times and lost my temper the second time. I didn't realize the season was in full swing already and could use suggestions for good 20+ mile routes for interval work.
