STUDY TOUR TO SOUTH AFRICA:  REFLECTIONS AND LESSONS

Karla Thoennes, associate director, Department of Residence Life

 

Thoennes will present her reflections on and lessons learned while participating in a study tour to South Africa in May and June of 2007.  Traveling to three distinct regions of South Africa, she visited seven universities and various locations of historic importance.  She will share information about the tour and stories of students and professionals she met.  Thoennes' love of travel, interest in culture and desire to grow as a professional motivated her participation in this program.
