WAHPETON, N.D. – Ridge McKeither scored 38 points and James Livingston had a triple-double as North Dakota State College of Science advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament with a 101-88 victory against Southeastern Community College in men’s basketball Wednesday.

WAHPETON, N.D. – Ridge McKeither scored 38 points and James Livingston had a triple-double as North Dakota State College of Science advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament with a 101-88 victory against Southeastern Community College in men’s basketball Wednesday.

Livingston had 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the 10th-ranked Wildcats (30-2).

The NJCAA national tournament is from March 17-21 in Hutchinson, Kan.

SCC: Simmons 4-8 0-0 8, Baker 5-14 5-5 15, McMikle 6-11 1-3 13, Arnold 8-11 2-5 23, Davis 1-11 0-0 2, McAllister 4-11 2-2 10, Lee 6-10 3-5 17. Totals 34-76 13-20 88.

NDSCS: Walls 3-6 1-2 7, Mauch 2-2 0-2 5, Foster 3-7 3-6 11, Livingston 6-10 11-13 24, Savoie 2-2 0-0 4, Kramer 2-4 2-2 8, McKeither 16-21 4-5 38, Walker 2-3 0-0 4. Totals 36-55 21-30 101.

Half: NDSCS 49, SCC 34. 3-point goals: SCC 7-20 (Arnold 5-7, Lee 2-6, Baker 0-3, McMikle 0-2, Davis 0-2), NDSCS 8-11 (Foster 2-2, Kramer 2-2, McKeither 2-2, Livingston 1-4, Mauch 1-1). Total fouls: SCC 24, NDSCS 19. Fouled out: Davis. Rebounds: SCC 31 (Lee 8), NDSCS 30 (Livingston 10). Assists: SCC 9 (four tied with 2), NDSCS 23 (Livingston 10).
