Parts drop
« on: July 24, 2008, 09:21:45 PM »
I feel like there should be some sort of community "parts drop" in town.  Something like the "library" in Porpoura--you drop one part off, pick up another part, and go on your merry way.  I have a couple frames and some beater parts from various Huffy-style bicycles that I need to get out of my spare room.  I know there isn't anyone who will buy the parts, but I would feel really bad throwing perfectly good (if it's what you need) stuff away.

The other option is to put together a crapy but rideable bicycle and leave it outside with a "free" sign on it.  Or I could donate it to the Green Bike project if that is going to continue in the Fall.

I'm just sick of moving crap around that I know I'm never going to use, but it's still useful stuff, if you know what I mean.

Maybe I'll talk to the Anarchists and see if they might be interested.
JUST EXTRA POLISH. I DO SOME WORK WITH EXCELL SO I KEEP THE CAPS LOCK ON :-P
