Skyping to class--the way of the future, or not good enough?

I only ask because my computer crashed while I was Skyping into MATLAB a couple minutes ago--and so I'm lost in the wilderness of cyberland.  Apparently there are some bugs to be worked out.

What do you think?

One time I couldn't fit this truck into the pay 'n spray in Grand Theft Auto so I shot out all the tires. It still didn't fit... but running from the cops with 10 flat tires proved to be more entertaining.

Thats all I have to say about skype really.

I think some sort of video conferencing could become popular for "class" but I am not sure about Skype.  While it does work pretty ok a lot of the time (at least for me) the technology and our national/state/local network capabilities don't seem to be up to par quite yet.  Of course I could be wrong and just not impressed enough by the quality...  But its usable.  I guess I have never really used Skype video except to play around with it.
