What system are you using to write workouts?  Are you not going the Coached by Larry route?

I asked Larry about coaching, he said he was too busy. I have an old coach that put me onto "Block Periodization". Its something the soviets used to make their athletes back in the U.S.S.R.!! check out this article, it gives a brief description http://ultimateathleteconcepts.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Yosef_Muscle_Fitness_article-1.pdf

THERE WILL BE  A FUN RIDE TONIGHT AT 5PM! leaving from the Union, we are cruising around downtown then going to grab something to eat at one of the local establishments (TBD) se ya'll there! helmets required :)

Yeah, that's the type of stuff that's in Joe Friel's book.  If your coach doesn't have really specific information on how to set up workouts for block periodization, I can lend you my copy.  You get to plan out your entire year, it's pretty sweet.

I am anticipating a ride at 5:30 today if the weather cooperates.  Who's with me?
New people are, as always, welcome and encouraged to attend.  This will be a strict no-drop ride, so everyone will stay together.

I'm down, sounds like the perfect opportunity to break in the new ride.

Weather looks good for ride time, so I will see people at the Union at 5:27. No thunderstorms until around 9 PM.

I gotta bail.  Bike will be ready tomorrow, and I don't have time to shed the 2.1 tires off my MTB bike (I assume this will be a road ride).

For what it's worth, the roads are smooth and the shoulders are wide between here and Oslo.

Anyone able to ride today?

I'm up for a good ride as long as it's not raining like it was last night! :) any distance is fine by me. Preferably a little harder ride would be nice but if nobody wants too that's fine. FYI I only have TT/TRI bike but will stay out of aero. My cell is 701-739-1364 but I'll check back later.

I'm not sure how hard I can go since I went hard yesterday.  What time are you free?

Jake, as much as I would like to go ride again today, I think I'm going to have to skip it so I can get some more work done.  Sorry dude.  I don't know what's happened to the rest of the club this fall.

I would be up for a ride, but I have a lot of studying to do for my test coming up...  I really want to ride though, but if I am able to make some headway on my studies, i would be up for some rides this weekend pretty much anytime that works for you guys
