Hi,
I found this and thought it was a good idea. Is there any way the UND Cycling club could promote women's cycling more? http://www.bicycleretailer.com/post-311/guest-editorial-new-year-new-challenge

All about the snowball potential. Get a couple active females (2-3) and more will be interested. And by active I mean actually racing, etc.

Female cyclist Megan Kelly from University of Minnesota posted a link and some info on the club Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/UND-Cycling-Club/255361261439
Glad you asked! Here's a link containing some info from the Atlantic CCC women's coordinator about what people can do to recruit more women. http://groups.google.com/group/acc-collegiate-cycling/browse_thread/thread/c80f879b3f592175?hl=en&pli=1
She discusses Intro clinics - we're working out the details, but we are going to have intro clinics in the NCCCC this year, so hopefully that's something you can "sell" to a potential new teammate. We're also going to be "emphatically suggesting" that all the race directors offer a women's C field for both the crit and road race - so, they won't have to race the Men D's this year.
If you come up with other ideas I'd love to hear them, and if there's anything we can do on a conference level to help/support you recruit more women and promote women's cycling, please let me know!

Here's another great post from a local (well, Winnipeg) female rider: http://winnipegcyclechick.com/?p=4536
Also, if you are interested in racing (today or someday), talk to Gina on the UND Cycling Team (https://sites.google.com/site/cycleund/team).

To be clear, we don't care if women race or not, we all just like more people on bikes, and 50% of the population seems to be female, so...
