GRAND FORKS — Because the fate of the “Smiley” water tower has once again become an issue and because there are far more reasons for saving “Smiley” than for demolishing it, I’ll make the case for renovation.

Should Smiley be saved?  Do you think it looks "small town"?  Is this a good or bad thing?  What are the most recognizable places in Grand Forks?
JUST EXTRA POLISH. I DO SOME WORK WITH EXCELL SO I KEEP THE CAPS LOCK ON :-P

As little as I see smiley, I don't really care what happens.  I doubt the city will be raising or lowering sales taxes in response to the costs of either keeping it up or tearing it down, so what does it matter to me as a student?  Coming from a small town, its funny that people in grand forks (which is still a small town) think they can look like a city by getting rid of a water tower.
IT'S A TRAP!!!!1!

I say keep it.  What is wrong with little things like that, too small townish... seriously now?
