Tour de Cure Fargo - June 18, 2011

Is anybody interested in putting together a team for the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure this year?

It's on June 18 down in Fargo. They have four distances to choose from, and I'm thinking about the century. I'd love to have a few people to do it with.

I'm down, but if I do it, it will be for the 32miles length since I'll be on my mtn bike...

We need to find you a road bike, dude.

I don't think I'll be able to do this one, but for anyone who has been coming to spin classes all winter, this would be a great test of your fitness to get a century under your belt with some clubmates!
JUST EXTRA POLISH. I DO SOME WORK WITH EXCELL SO I KEEP THE CAPS LOCK ON :-P

I have a pair of 1.25" commuter tires that are pretty slick... 30 miles isn't too bad.  If there was a half-century option, I'd try that, but any longer and the combination of rolling resistance, being upright, and the gearing makes me cringe.   I need a road bike (oh and I want a fat bike too)... but alas, this will need to wait till I can get a real job since we got the kiddo coming soon.

Daycare costs make me sad.  Several months = bike :(

I'd be down for the 32-miler too, there is a century later this summer that I could do instead (and could probably use a little bit of extra training time). I have always wanted to do the Headwaters 100 over in Park Rapids, so maybe this is the year!
