I'm sure Guardrail will flip for this one (http://media.www.sdsucollegian.com/media/storage/paper484/news/2008/10/08/News/Pedal.Power.Pushes.New.Campus.Bike.Lanes-3476867.shtml).
On a related issue, what is the consensus on the best action to take if you see someone riding down the bike lane going the wrong way?

Bike lanes... nice. Lets see them added at more schools and around towns!

Explain to them the proper procedure.

usually the closure rate between myself and a cyclist going the wrong direction in the bike lanes is too fast for an in depth explanation of what they are doing wrong. I usually yell "your going the wrong way" with a few other choice words thrown in.
Maybe we should make pamphlets that we can attach to bike racks where people will see them, informing them of the proper way to ride.

Big stickers? That might be cool, maybe with an explanation of how you're more likely to get hit by a turning vehicle.
