I wonder if that dog was part of the course...CRAZY!!
The minimum number of bikes one should own is three.  The correct number is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned.  This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner.

Good find!  I think it's great how you can set up a good run for bikes just about anywhere.

On a similar note, check out this vid of the Nevada DH championships: http://www.sicklines.com/2011-nevada-state-downhill-championships/
The aerial video was from a remote helicopter.  Makes me really want to buy one and see if it could keep up with a collegiate peloton...

Ugh... I was trying to work out ways to get UND to let us use a training flight to get a Helo over the peloton.

That said, if you got a "real" remote helo, it could definitely keep up. The trouble would be weather and fuel. Coz if there's wind, you'd probably be screwed.

Thinking about contacting the UAV kids on campus.  Maybe Mario could suggest it as an interesting project to some people he knows.  I suppose following a peloton in the long run is similar to following some terrorists over the Canadian border, right?

If not a peloton, I think you could get some sweet shot of a crit.

I don't think they would be able to fly where we need them to be. Especially for this purpose.

Doing it as more of an RC thing is probably the best way?

Well, RC for some is UAV for others...I figured they would have the equipment since they would be RC nerds* anyway?
