Title: How will Gerry Groenewold's arrest affect the EERC/UND?
Post by: Sal Atticum on February 20, 2008, 09:58:53 AM
I'm really curious.  Will it cause him to be ejected from his position at the EERC?  Will he be forced to undergo counseling?  Will the EERC take a nosedive with him in trouble with the law (I would say unlikely)?

Most importantly, how much should a person's actions off the job affect what happens on the job?  Barring him getting imprisoned or severely punished and therefore unable to run the EERC, should this affect Groenewold at all?

(note that all the facts haven't come out in this case yet--I'm not arguing for his guilt or innocence, I'm just curious what people think should happen)

If you haven't heard, here are some Herald articles:

Seeing as how this topic came up when I was looking for information about why Groenewold was just placed on administrative leave, here's some information: http://www.valleynewslive.com/story/25439257/groenewold-director-of-eerc-put-on-administrative-leave
