I think this might be a step in the right direction--get the graduate school online in a less formal atmosphere and let us all work out the problems. The next thing to do is get the administration on the Campus Dakota message board!
RedHat linux though? We have a whole bunch of computer scientists and engineers at the graduate level, and they pick a distro you have to pay for. Weird...
I am pleased to announce a new addition to our efforts to keep you informed and communicating with us on matters that relate to graduate education. The Blog at The Graduate School, UND ( http://www.gradspace.und.edu/blog/ ), represents the first stage of "gradspace", a complementary website that will provide a much more interactive format. It is appropriate that the first major entry is provided by Susan Caraher, our Marketing and External Relations Specialist, who is the creator of gradspace. Visit the blog to learn more about what T. Boone Pickens had to say about the Picken's Plan during the Great Plains Energy Expo.
We are interested in your comments and look forward to providing you with more opportunities to share your views with all of our stakeholders. Please let us know if you have a blog that you would like linked to from our site. We are happy to accommodate such requests. In the coming weeks we will be announcing more additions to gradspace... the community site for graduate students, faculty and friends of The Graduate School at the University of North Dakota.
Best Regards,
Joey
