i-29 is somewhat far from campus but nice to study there and you are left alone if need be. the back booths are AWESOME for canceling out most of the sound.

hmmm. . .

I was studying in Urban today to the sound of the coffee grinder.  It was nice. :D

A little known secret outside of the Med School...  The front doors lock at night when the library closes, however if you are inside the building, no one will kick you out.  You can stay/study there all night.  There are lots of tables in both atriums, and also some study tables on the floors overlooking the north atrium (going up the glass elevator).

There is a snack cart open during the day and vending machines on the bottom and ground floors.

I have noticed it gets pretty crowded during finals week though the rest of the year there is lots of open space.

mburtonk,
I went to the snack bar at the Wellness Center a couple weeks ago, but I haven't tried studying there yet. The food is really good and relatively inexpensive - I think I paid about $3.50 for a sandwich and $3 for a smoothie.

Have you tried the cushy chairs at the fitness center?  They have a snack bar, but I don't know if it is inexpensive or not.

I like to go to Urban Stampede...but I end up buying coffee at Starbuck's on the way there, for an obvious reason. (Urban Stampede's coffee sucks).

I do my studying in my cubicle where if I want to can keep a couple bags of snacks.  However, I know that you guys probably do not have that.  And I know the feeling about not wanting to study in your apartment ... I say I will study here but it never happens ... it has to be done on campus or in a desperate last minute attempt at my apartment.

I'm not a fan of Urban/Tabula either. Their drinks just taste the same to me -- like a cup of coffee.

I wound up studying in Ryan Hall next to their snack machines last night...but I found I only had $1.10 in my purse, so that didn't get me too far.

It's the inexpensive snacks and beverages that's the kicker.  I usually get things done if I am at Urban Stampede, but I wouldn't call anything there 'inexpensive.'

Anyone know of spot that's not too noisy, not too quiet, with relatively inexpensive snacks/beverages? I can't study in my apartment or at the library, and it's getting to chilly to go to the park, so my options are getting kind of limited.
