Hummm, I always heard it used more gas to start your car then to let it idle.

It's faster in most places to cycle than it is to drive.  Here in Grand Forks most trips take about the same amount of time when there isn't snow on the ground.

This is why it pisses me off that people let their cars idle for hours on end.
