My first bike build!
« on: July 08, 2011, 06:35:28 PM »
Hola todos las personas le gusta bikes,

I'm thinking about building a surly crosscheck bike as my around town, work commuter, dirtroader, supplies getter bike, and would like some help as this is my first bike build. I hear the new 2011 cross check has front mounts for a rack as well as rear rack mounts which is cool. I am also debating the idea of fixed gear but i am not sure if i want to go that route or not. As i get into the project a little more I will probly ask some more specific q's but for now just wanted to throw this out there, and say hola.

Crosscheck = expensive and overrated. But the crosscheck does give you all of it. Whats your local shop? AZ is my territory, I can maybe pull some strings for you... whats ur zip?

my zip is 85024, I was just in a shop called slippery pig bike shop and it seemed pretty cool, they had some of the obscure brand stuff, but still had cannondales, specialized, and they are a surly dealer. One of the guys had a sweet atlantis frame touring?/commuting bike. I have also checked out a couple other but two-wheel jones is another good shop. These aren't necessarily local but in the area.

Yeah Sanders... I can probably make something happen for you. Shoot me a text on Monday to remind me. Have you checked out some random bike shops?

Basically, all of those shops are my crew... we'll talk.
