you should advertise nd.bison.com a lot more, try a couple of listserve announcements and maybe the posts will pick up a little.  Facebook is a lot more popular right now I guess.  I like the forum - format a lot more!  Thanks for making it possible!

Hey,

Thanks for the suggestions.  ndbison.com is still really new and we are trying to get the word out.  The problem has been that the website etc. was not done early enough in the year.  People only really started hearing about it sometime in April.  We are going to be working with Student Government, the Spectrum etc. on getting the word out.

Next Fall is going to be sweet, we are adding a lot of stuff to ndbison.com and making improvements all around. Take a look at or sitemap at www.ndbison.com/sitemap.html, it lists nearly all the things we have right now (more and more will be added).  We will be expanding greatly in many regions that will bring people to the forums, I am hoping for 1000 members by late Fall, if all of our plans fall into place.

Let us know if you have any suggestions about getting more people here, because we can make this site really sweet; its all about what the students want.

I think the new format/look is really nice. I have no real complaints other than I wish more people 'round these parts were msg board losers like I.

Compared to the 2 other boards I frequent this board is by far the easiest to use/ most user friendly.

I dislike the new childboard function. I suppose it declutters the board in general (especially if there are new multiple child boards) but for the one I use... it adds more mousing.

well...
1. A click and a mouse move and a click. (touchpads suck)
but more importantly...
2. When I looked at the boards previously, the two cycling ones would light up green and the one that had the posts would bold. Now, I just see a lit up green icon and I have to sort of guess which one the "new post indicator" pertains to.

Again though, I see why you did it... to de-clutter and if you have a bunch of child boards i see that it can get disorganized, but to me it looks more cluttered I guess.

Hey thanks for the feedback.  Let me look into some other ways to de-clutter while leaving everything as easy to use as possible.  One of the most cluttering things were the college boards, so maybe we can find a solution for those.
