Looking for a cheaper way home for the holidays?

Give http://www.studentuniverse.com/ a try, they have some pretty great deals for travel.  I was looking and using them to fly home for thanksgiving I would save $66, not bad at all.  I also noticed that they have some really great deals to "popular destinations."  I also saw a flight from Fargo to Denver for only $99, a great deal.  I saw check it out and save some money!

Totally agree with pmp6n.  I bought a ticket to Amsterdam on Student Universe and it was only $300 round trip.  It was a great deal and the airline was really nice.  Definitely check it out for cheap travel.

I wonder if they have better deals closer to spring break, or if they will just run out of deals by then?  I would assume that it would be better to look a quite ahead of Spring Break, but then again they might have some last minute deals.  I suppose if you are really set on going somewhere then the best thing is to do it early.

Am I right?

Yes the best is to do it early.  I have been watching tickets to go home on Thanksgiving and it seems they are steadily rising, I think that is generally the case.  I dont think they go down much, maybe the day before.  Then again, they didnt seem much cheaper when I booked my tickets 3 days before the flight last year; also doing that you are taking a risk there wont be any seats left.

I agree with ajekt, buying in advance is the safest way to go.  On the other hand, if you don't care where you go for spring break, I think that you can still get some great deals if you watch the sites really closely, especially around spring break. Check out http://www.statravel.com/ for great deals as well.
