I'm just saying... a guy who has never given any reason for people to honestly suspect him of using performance enhancers decides that he's going to come "out of retirement" to "help fight cancer" but oh btw, im gonna put a chip inside me that tells you everything thats going on, is a little fishy.

A good rule of thumb, when you want to find out if someone is full of shit... just let them keep talking and they'll usually indicate how little they know (if they actually have no idea what they're talking about). I think lance is doing just that... he won 7, he didn't get caught (which I believe is because he's clean) but something has to be going on. This guy has beaten the snot out of other riders that were doping... obviously it makes you faster or people wouldn't do it. If these other seemingly equally competitive riders are doping and STILL not beating Lance... whats going on? And now he says he's going to UNretire and "prove" that he never doped? Prove to who... his entire fan base wholeheartedly supports him, and he hates the french? So who is he trying to make into a believer?

But now he says... nah, I'm not going to do that after all. So what gives? It can't be the money because I'm sure he has plenty to mess with.

I'm just saying... it seems a little fishy.

I think you are jumping in to conclusions a little bit.

This is what im saying... moreover... what I don't understand is that Lance is a pro cyclist. I would think he would know exactly how much money he's making and if he was able to commit to suggesting he would pay this chap 6 months ago and then all of a sudden say nah... I can't commit. I have to think he may be thinking he hasn't done as well as he had hoped and is either going to dope... or realized that if he has this thing in and it shows no dope and he does crappy in the tour people will say oh well then he must've doped in the past tours.

Hmm?

How much does that particular specialist cost?  I have all the trust for Lance in the world, but this is a little weird.

He's not using that doping specialist anymore citing cost? Which is ridiculous since I can't fathom he forcast he'd have any more money now than he would've a year ago.

Anyways... heres the article...

I try really hard not to be a lance fan boy, but in all seriousness... he has the nicest rig in the pro tour.

My question is... was it a planned retirement? As in... like, a publicity stunt?

And the new Astana jerseys look cheap.

Hey, if Armstrong can get people to believe in the Tour again, I'm all for it.

If not, the whole cycling world needs to rethink its priorities.

I hate dopers and I think that just about 99% of pro cyclists cheat. I didn't watch an OUNCE of the tour last year, and I don't think I will this year either.

I think the entire pro tour should be cat 3.

All of us have heard that Amstrong is coming back. there were some speculations tht he will join Astana team, but some people were saying it was ridiculous. Well, as some of you might know, Amstrong did join Astana-I saw it this morning on the news, when he participated in his first road race with the new team. He looks pretty good in Astana colors. Comments?
