Dakota Wesleyan University reached an all-time high in raising money for the 2007-08 Wesleyan Fund.

The university met its $650,000 goal set by the Board of Trustees through support of local businesses, increased alumni and donor support, said Neil Blair, vice president for institutional advancement. John Wesley Society membership grew to 149, including 39 new members. Donors give at least $1,000.

DWU’s original goal was $525,000, but it was raised last October to strengthen annual programs and scholarships.
