In honor of National Bike Month and the CLIF Bar 2 Mile challenge, GOOD is teaming up with CLIF Bar to recapture the fun and also the practicality of bike riding. We’re asking for your best idea to get your neighbors onto bikes. A $1,000 grant will go to the individual or organization who comes up with the most popular idea to get your community excited about life on two wheels.

Hmm.... need a Grand Forks bike week. Each evening, have a random checkpoint or two on the various multi-use paths around town. Hand out little prizes, pocket-sized bike safety cards, etc. water/snacks, and the chance to enter a drawing for something large (such as that tandem bike the visitor center was giving away???). Needs good publicity (radio coverage etc.) to get people out hunting for the checkpoints.
