I don't know what Shimano's whole deal is currently? I mean... obviously, the materials are available to make things lighter, but for whatever reason... they won't? Is this implying that Srams stuff is breakable? Or what?

That said... I suspect that sram is going to be at a significant disadvantage when it comes to disc brakery for cx... because with shimano having the electronic stuff... there's room to stash a master cylinder in there... and thus, hydraulic discs.

They announced the Dura Ace 9000 just now. 11 speed. Proprietary shifter cables. Rumored as a 4 splined crank.

Sounds similar to 7900. A complete waste of time that is.
