Hi everyone,

Three awards are up for grabs in the coming month, and everybody should be applying for at least one of these. Please pass this information on to your teammates, as item #2 is open to ALL collegiate riders.

1.     Club of the Year Award: The due date for this annual honor is fast approaching, as all entries must be postmarked by November 29th. Why should you apply for this? Besides getting the club fee waived for 2011, you also have some bragging rights to bring back to your school administrators. Titles and awards such as this can be critical in sustaining and INCREASING your funding. And what team doesn’t need more funding? You can find information on what’s required here: http://bit.ly/dkG32s The competition is WIDE open.
2.     Kuck and Stenner Scholarships: Every December the USAC Development Foundation gives out four scholarships to collegiate athletes that have demonstrated outstanding athletic talents, intellectual abilities, and community involvement. Applying is easy, and with free money on the line, it would be silly not to apply. The amount of cash (which comes in the form of a check made out directly to you) varies from year to year, but it is NOT insignificant. 110% worth your time. Info can be found on the scholarships here: http://bit.ly/al1RNo
3.     Gatorade Membership Contests: There have been a couple changes here, so read up! Starting December 1, you can renew your license for 2011, and any new licenses sold between then and December 14 will count toward your overall membership in the Gatorade contests. There are two contests: Biggest New Club for 2010, and Club with the Most Overall Growth in 2010. You can check on the standings as of Oct 22 here: http://bit.ly/bbjTp7 On the line is a year’s supply of Gatorade products for each of the winning teams and a small feature in the collegiate newsletter. So get recruiting!

As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks everyone, and happy Thanksgiving!
