Greetings All!
Listed are some of dates for this year?s cycling and multi-sport events ? put them on your calendar!

May 19-20 Tentative ? Badlands Classic Road Race/Time Trial(look for more details on this event as Craig may add a Crit in Dickinson) ? Medora

June 2 ? Kayla Road Race ? Mandan

June 10 ? Epic Sports Bismarck Triathlon at Misty Waters - *NEW VENUE ? this years Bismarck Tri will be held at Misty Waters development and Marina ? this is absolutely a fabulous venue for a Tri and may include both sprint distance and Olympic distance competitions ? location will be roughly 4 miles north of Bismarck ? the swim will take place in the Misty Waters Marina ? Wet Suits may be required depending on water temp(you will be swimming in the Missouri) ? the bike course will be an out and back course along Burnt Creek Loop/Hwy 1804 and the run will be also be around Burnt Creek loop.  Look for more details, registration info and flyers coming soon!

June 16 ? 12hrs to Sunset ? Mountain Bike Endurance Challenge - *NEW VENUE ? this year the 12hrs to Sunset will be held at Sleepy Hollow Park in Bismarck.  Additional single track has been added to extend the loop to 3.5 miles with more planned before the event ? this venue offers a great mix of semi-technical treed areas with high speed open prairie and leg ripping climbs .  New categories this year will include a Solo category along with the normal 4 person team event ? also new to this year will be the recreational class which will allow up to 8 team members per team.  Catered dinner, t-shirts, and other prizes for all participants ? maybe even a couple of Pros showing up to dust the rest of us weekend warriors!  Get your team together and start training!

June 27 - Wednesday Evening Off-Road Duathlon ? Roadies and Runners ? Dust off those Mountain Bikes cause it?s time to go off-road!  This year we will be offering the first ever off-road duathlon in the area  1 mile trail run, 10.5 ? 12 mi MTB ride, 3 mile trail run ? all at Sleepy Hollow Park ? all off-road ? what better way to bring in the official first days of summer!

July 13?15 - Prairie Rose State Games ? Multiple events for everyone ? Fargo

July 22 ? Tentative  - Black Butte MTB Race - Minot

August 12 Tentative ? Lewis & Clark 100 ? Our annual 100 miler road ride taking riders from Bismarck to Washburn and down the other side of the Missouri to Ft Lincoln and back

August 19 Tentative ? Gear Grinder MTB Race ? Jamestown ? (Russ please confirm that this date will work)

Aug 26 ? LifeNet Triathlon ? Mandan ? this years event will include both sprint distance and Olympic distance competitions

These are events we have scheduled or have tentative dates on so far.  Please let us know if you are planning a cycling, MTB, or multi-sport event so we can get it on the calendar.  For our local event coordinators ? please firm up the dates and details on your events asap and get them to us so we can forward out to the masses!

Note that is was decided by the NDCF Board that this year we will not be continuing with our Points Series.  Due to everyone?s schedules it is difficult for participants to make all events throughout the summer which takes away from the spirit of the points series.  In light of this we opted to drop the points series and concentrate on individual events this year with a special emphasis on getting more novice and recreational riders participating in all our local events.   Of course if you can offer volunteer help for any of the events in your area please contact myself or the local event coordinator ? we never can have too many volunteers!

Happy Training!
