It's taking me a while to make the transition to realizing that stun guns are much safer than hitting someone over the head with a stick like they used to.

Now that I don't know.

It's probably more satisfying if one were to be sassed and flailed upon to be able to smather upon the head...but I wouldn't know. *whistles*

What the hell.  Its not like they were in the middle of a riot or something.  this is bs

Stun Guns are SOP for any situation in which normal non-violent resistance. :)  It's not some terror weapon - it stings momentarily and makes you calm the hell down.

I have seen them both used on someone  :o

Stun Guns are incredibly effective and much safer than Tasers.

The gun shoots out things with leads, meaning you can stand back and stick someone and taser them.  The stun gun is the handheld thing, you need to be close to use it.

A Taser gun was not used against the kid - it was a stun gun.  Very different.

I heard Kerry say it several times in the background.

and yes, you shouldnt resist, but was he really doing anything that wrong (at the beginning)?

I don't think I would have removed him.  It was obvious (IMO) that he had planned to make a huge scene and get arrested.

Hell, Kerry (having the background in protesting he does) should have walked down there and solved it before he got zapped.
