New NDSU center to target terrorismAmy Dalrymple, The ForumPublished Thursday, September 11, 2008Fargo isn’t an obvious place to turn for al-Qaida and counterterrorism expertise.Jarret Brachman wants to change that.The new hire at North Dakota State University is launching a homeland security research and education center.Brachman, who recently directed West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center, wants NDSU to be the “go-to place” for strategies on keeping transportation systems secure from terrorism threats.The new center will be through NDSU’s Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute.
